Literacy
as a human right is intrinsically important. But literacy is also instrumental
to the enjoyment of other rights. In the 21st century, adults need basic educational
skills to achieve their personal potential, attain economic security, and contribute
to their communities. The Boston Adult Literacy Fund helps adults get the education
they need to achieve their goals.
